Piano teacher, pedagogue, and the founder of Pianoteachers.com

Yoon Huh's early piano studies were pursued at the Juilliard School Pre-College Division with Robert Harris. After graduating from the Juilliard Pre-College Division, she was a scholarship student of renowned pianist, Seymour Lipkin and Ada Kopetz-Korf at the Manhattan School of Music. Ms. Huh received a Bachelors of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music and holds Masters of Arts and Masters of Education degrees in Music Education specializing in Piano Pedagogy and Children's Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has taught at the Carnegie Studio from 1982-1987 and at the Columbia University from 1986-1992. A recipient of Professional Incentive Award and was a member of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. She has worked with an internationally recognized piano pedagogue, pianist and an educator,  Dr. Robert Pace on pedagogical methods and literature at the Teachers College, Columbia University. Ms. Huh has also taught the Pace method at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Ms. Huh gave numerous Solo Recitals at the Carnegie Recital Hall, Carnegie Studio, Paul Hall and the Hubbard Recital Hall in New York City. Numerous duo concerts were given at the Paul Hall Recital Hall at the Juilliard School. Ms. Huh has performed extensively with her brothers as the "Auh Trio" in New York and in New Jersey area during 1979-1987. In 1979, the "Auh Trio" was invited to perform at the residence of New York Symphony's President and it was followed by an invitation to perform the Beethoven's Triple Concerto with Glens Falls Symphony, Albany, New York which brought the audiences to their feet with a standing ovation. Ms. Huh was a Silver Cup winner of The Morgan Park Competition in New York (1985) which was followed with a solo recital in Little Neck, New York. Ms. Huh was also a finalist of the Knights of Pythias Competition in 1977.

Yoon Huh is the Founder and Director of Communications of PianoTeachers.com founded in 1997. She served as the Chair for the Montgomery County Music Teachers Association (MCMTA) Judged Recitals from 2005 - 2016, She also served on the MCMTA's M. Weissenfluh's Fund Commitee; Ms. Huh also held the Chair position of the Bartok Piano Competition for the Washington Music Teachers Association (WMTA); Coordinator of the Bartok Piano Competititon Winners' Concert at the Embassy of Hungary. Presently she is the Chair person for the WMTA's Honors Recital held at the Steinway Piano Gallery. Ms. Huh also served as a Chair for the Springfield Music Clubs Composer Competition from 2003-2007. She is an active member of Maryland State Music Teachers Association (MSMTA) and served as a Chair for the Elizabeth Davis Memorial Competition  High School and Collegiate Divisions. She also served as the Maryland State Music Teachers Association annual Conference Planning Committee and the Nominating Committee Member. Ms. Huh was the former V.P. of Student Activities for the MSMTA and was on the Board. Ms. Huh also held the position of the Adviser for the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) Festival Bulletin in the Concerto Division.

In December of 2010, Ms. Huh presented a workshop as a Master Teacher for the Springfield Music Club in Virginia on "How to be the Judge who gives constructive comments when judging a Competition or Festivals." In February of 2018 Ms. Huh was one of the panels for the judges' workshop answering Q & A regarding the Concerto judging and selections for the VFMC Springfield Music Club. And in 2019 Ms. Huh gave presentation and performance of these required Festival Concertos.  

Ms. Huh is a much sought after Competition Adjudicator for the State Solo and Ensemble events, MCMTA's Judged Recitals and for High School Piano Exams in Maryland, NVMTA Virginia and in DC metropolitan areas and has also adjudicated The World Piano Pedagogy Conference Competition in Anaheim, California.

Ms. Huh's students are the prize winning performers of Competitions and Judged Recitals. In 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and in 2018, her students were auditioned and selected to perform in the Master Classes of Robert Vandall, Catherine Rollin, Kevin Olson, Marvin Blickenstaff, Dennis Alexander, Jim Litzelman, Nancy Breth and Alexander Peskanov in the Maryland State Music Teachers Associations Conference at the University of Maryland.
