Hello Piano all students!

I was a Full Time Symphony Orchestra Bass Player for 20 years where I performed all the major symphony orchestra repertoire for audiences of 2,000 to 3,000 patrons a night as well as a free lance musician for 40 years. My work included perforce of all the Beethoven Symphonies, Concerti, Overtures, all orchestral works of Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Brahms, Dvorak and many more. Also i have performed all the most popular orchestral works of Mozart, Haydn as well performing all major Operas in The Miami Opera and Palm Beach Opera companies.

I began studying Piano at age 8 in 1963 and have continued throughout up until now. I find that my Symphony Orchestral experience gives me a very in depth look at how to perform Piano music and furthermore how to chose appropriate material for my Piano students including technical studies.I begin students with scales and scalar studies technical studies from various popular technique methods including Czerny. I begin them with simple tunes from the beginning to advanced John Thompson’ s books. I then move on to beginner Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn then more advanced pieces by the same and also going to Chopin, Ravel, Rachmaninoff and many other classical composers. I also am involved in Jazz and popular music and offer instruction in those styles.

I was a full 4 year Scholarship to attend at Manhattan School of Music as a Double Bass major as well as studying the Piano there. I received a Performance Diploma after completing the full-time program but also studied Theory and composition Major courses.

Before attending Manhattan I went to De Anza Community College in Cupertino, California where i was awarded Outstanding Musician Award in the Music Department.

I share a tremendous amount of knowledge with my students as they all play with a true understanding of what it takes to put on a great musical performance and I hope to see you on board with them soon!

Best to all!!!
