Zerrin
Kostem has been teaching piano performance, music theory, ear
training, musicianship and technique for over 25 years. She
teaches:

Children, over the age of 4. She has successfully taught
special needs and A.D.D. pupils.

Adults, all levels, for pleasure and personal improvement.

Professionals, singers and musicians who wish to incorporate
piano into their practice or improve existing piano skills
Zerrin’s teaching focuses on learning to read music, rhythm, and
technique. The needs and interests of the student are honored.
The student may choose from classical, jazz, pop, rock and
blues. European piano technique, theory, and ear training are
strongly emphasized.
LOCATION: Los Angeles, centrally located and adjacent to Beverly
Hills, West Hollywood and The Wilshire district. Close to
Beverly Center and Miracle Mile. Free, easy street parking
available.
Zerrin was born and raised in
Istanbul, Turkey. She attended Istanbul State Conservatory for
eight years, graduating at the age of 15. She attended Mimar
Sinan University in Istanbul, receiving her B.M. in piano
performance. She also completed three years of post-graduate
study. A classical pianist at the age of five, she began
performing chamber music at the age of eight. She has performed
numerous concerts and recitals, as well as radio and television
performances. Zerrin is a member of the Music Teachers
Association of California.
