Ms. Yuan Tian has won the prestigious
Aspen Music Festival Piano Concerto Competition and made
Carnegie debut in 2007. Her concert tour of France was praised
highly by the La Republique Du Centreas as "Superb concert at
the oratory," "enchanted her audience," and "magistral
interpretation of L'Isles Joyeuse by Debussy." She has
appeared with national and international orchestras and
performed recitals with world-class musicians such as Valery
Popov and David McGill. Ms. Tian has released numerous recordings
of Chamber music and solo works including the complete Chopin
Etudes Op.10 & Op.25 on the label of Beijing Global Records,
which gained numerous acclaims. She has been frequently invited
to perform at Aspen Music Festival, Prague International
Pianists Academy, Cassamaggio Chamber Music Festival in Italy,
Vienna International Pianists Festival etc. Recognized by her
musical achievement, she was awarded the Chinese American Women
Organization Fellowship and Aspen Music Festival Simmes
Fellowship.
Ms. Tian served as artistic director at Central Conservatory of
Music in Beijing after graduated with Bachelor's degree. She
then came to the United States and received Artist Diploma from
Oberlin Conservatory, Master's degree from the Cleveland
Institute of Music and is currently pursuing Doctoral degree in
performance at the renowned Peabody Conservatory of the Johns
Hopkins University. Ms. Tian is an accomplished teacher, she has
taught since 1994 and her students have won national and
international competitions.
