My name is Regan Nikol-Stas, I am music teacher and performer in New York City. I have been teaching piano lessons to beginning and intermediate students from ages 5 through adult for over 12 years. Lessons take place in my music studio located in Tuckahoe, NY. Piano lessons consist of warm up exercises, scales, chords and chosen method book or select pieces appropriate for your level. There are many great method books in the piano literature to choose from; I recommend Alfred's Piano Library for beginners. Some areas that I like to focus on in the lesson are correct playing posture, hand and wrist position, musicality, theory, ear training, and reading music. Students should feel comfortable in their lessons and feel free to express themselves. I am flexible to any concerns that you may have and committed to making the lessons an enjoyable experience. BIO

Regan Nikol has been teaching students of various ages and levels for over 12 years in such schools as the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music, Great Neck Arts Center, Bayside Music Studio, Cambria Center School for the gifted child, Lakeville Elementary School, and her own private music studio consisting of adult, teenage and elementary students. She holds Bachelors in Music and Masters in Music Education from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. She has performed chamber, solo and orchestral concerts in Alice Tully, Avery Fisher, Carnegie Hall and Lefrak Concert Hall as well as stages abroad. She has attended numerous music festivals including the Bowdoin International Music Festival, Texas Music Festival, College Light Opera Company, Hartwick Summer Music Festival, Purchase Symphonic Winds and Sarah Lawrence Orchestra.

$65 per hour
$50 per 45 Minutes
$40 per ½ hour (Recommended for students under 8)

PAYMENTS, SCHEDULING AND CANCELLATION

• Lessons are paid in advance on a monthly basis either by check or cash
• Payment is due on or before the first week of the month
• Please call 24 hours before your lesson time to cancel or reschedule
• No shows will be charged without a make up
