The piano is a highly versatile instrument. You
can make it sound grand, exuberant, pensive,
percussive and everything in between. Knowing how to
play the piano, how to read music and other musical
fundamentals should be an integral part of a
well-balanced education.
As a former elementary schoolteacher, I particularly enjoy
teaching children who are beginning their piano training. I
have the expertise and patience to help young children
develop an interest in music. Studies have shown that piano
instruction helps to improve self discipline and confidence
as well as language development. For the mature beginners,
learning how to play the piano can help slow down the aging
effect on the brain by building new pathways, and it is fun
and entertaining!
Whatever your goal or interest in piano might be, I can
tailor a program to your need.
