Tatyana
Roytshteyn began her piano studies at the
age of six in Odessa, Ukraine. Upon immigrating to
the U.S. she received her BM in piano performance
from Florida Atlantic University, where she studied
with Duo-Artists in Residence Judith Burganger and
Leonid Treer. Ms. Roytshteyn holds a MM in piano
performance from Indiana University, Bloomington
where she studied with Dr. Karen Shaw. She has also
participated in the Brevard Music Festival where she
studied with Dr. Andrew Cooperstock.
As a chamber musician, Ms. Roytshteyn has had
coachings with Menahem Pressler, Dr. Eli Eban,
Mayumi Seiler, David Salness and Lisa-Beth Lambert
(Philadelphia Orchestra).
In 2006 she and Serban Petrescu formed the Duo
Pogany, together they have performed throughout
Pennsylvania and Delaware as well as at the Toronto
Summer Music Festival.
Ms. Roytshteyn has many years of teaching experience
and is a member of both the Music Teachers National
Association and the American College of Musicians
(Piano Guild). Her students have received Superior
ratings at festivals held by both organizations.
Since 2007 Ms. Roytshteyn has been teaching the
Workshop for Parents of Music students in order to
promote awareness of the importance of the parental
role and a musical home environment to the success
of the young music student.
