 PIANIST
SYLVIA NG received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in
Piano Performance from the University of Redlands, graduating
summa cum laude, with highest honors. She was a student of
renowned concert pianist Professor Louanne Fuchs Long. In the
USA she was the recipient of many honors and awards, including
first prize winner in the Music Teachers' Association of
California Young Artist Competition, the High Desert Symphony
Concerto Competition, and the Redlands Concerto Competition. She
was named by the music faculty as Most Outstanding Performer and
was invited to membership in the national music honor society,
Pi Kappa Lambda, the highest honor in music that can be bestowed
at the collegiate level.
Sylvia Ng has performed extensively in the United States as well
as in Austria and Singapore, both in solo recitals and
appearances with orchestra. One reviewer who hailed her
performance with the Redlands Symphony Orchestra as "a fasten
your seat-belt performance," went on to describe Ms. Sylvia Ng
as "a pianist who truly charmed the audience." She was lauded as
"one very worthy of the professional concert stage." Ms. Sylvia
Ng now resides in Singapore.
