Began piano study at age 6 with Ralph Hedges, Honolulu Symphony Orchestra. Graduated Punahou Academy, Honolulu. Bachelor's Degree with major in Piano. Post-graduate accreditation in Suzuki Piano Pedagogy, University of Dayton with Mary Craig Powell. Japanese pedagogy with Dr. Kataoka and long-term teacher training with Bruce Anderson. Registered with Suzuki Association of the Americas.

Ten years experience as a public school music teacher. Thirty years teaching experience as a private piano teacher. Twenty years as a Suzuki Piano specialist (since 1985). Licensed Kindermusik Educator. Suzuki piano students may be ready to begin as early as 3 1/2. A parent preparation and pre-twinkle program is suggested as early as possible.
