About the Teacher
|
|
Stephen Riedel teaches Classical and
Popular piano styles in the Santa Rosa area. Lessons include a
well rounded education in piano basics: reading, theory,
technique, performance and appreciation. He teaches all ages and
all levels in these styles and focuses on developing the music
fundamentals with his students. Stephen's music background began
in elementary school with his studies in trumpet and continuing
through junior high. He began piano study in high school and has
been playing ever since, receiving a degree from Santa Rosa
Junior College and Sonoma State University in music. He has
studied with teachers Marilyn Thompson, Anna Harriette Foshee,
Deanne Reeder, Casey Cameron and Jean Young. He occasionally
performs with singer Annemarie Rosa, also from Sonoma State
University. Stephen believes in bringing out the inner musician
in all his students and believes that piano study is important
in developing that.
