Born in China, British-Chinese pianist
Simone Mead is highly praised for her
sensitivity and musical interpretations with
performances delighting audiences all over
the UK, mainland Europe and the Far East.
She has recently made her US solo debut at
Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall. Originally a
student of ballet major at the Shanghai
Ballet School, China, Simone later moved to
the UK and was offered a place to study
piano at the Chetham's School of Music for
Gifted Children, and received her Bachelors
of Music degree at the Royal College of
Music in London, UK studying with British
pianist Bernard Roberts, Dr Kenneth Weir,
the late Yonty Solomon, and Gordon
Fergus-Thompson.
Teaching has always been Simone's passion.
An extremely enthusiastic and patient
teacher, Simone has worked with students of
all ability and standards. Her lessons
emphasize on musicality and aim to inspire
students and learn to express their inner
voice through music. Simone has been a
member of Piano Teachers UK and Piano
Masters of New York. |
