Teacher, composer, and performer

Stephen has been teaching children and adults in the Phoenix Valley since 1972. He is an active member and minister of music for more than 25 years in a local Bible church. Mr. Pearce is unique because he primarily teaches in your home on the student's instrument; however, he has a studio in his home and also teaches at the Arizona Academy of Music in Gilbert. Steve is a published composer and holds a BA from Fordham University in NYC and has credits towards a masters in Theory and Composition. He teaches classical, modern rock, blues, jazz and Christian worship music. He has developed a piano method for improvisation, chords, and playing by ear. which has captured the attention of students. He will also help students to compose their own music and help them notate it on a computer. He holds piano recitals and has prepared students to continue their education at the college level.
