Rebecca McKeown Piano Studio
Featuring the Suzuki Method@
in which Every Student Can……..
Develop musical ability; I do
not screen for "talent"
All students can learn; the differences are
in the individual speed of learning.
Start at any age, very young
to adult
I have experience with all ages from 2 years
to adult.
Develop a musical ear
A focus on ear training and the ability to
hear and produce a firm, pleasing tone.
Gain technical competence on
the piano
Work on every aspect of your body from feet
to fingers and how they move and produce tone.
Learn to read music in a way
that makes sense
Once a student is comfortable moving around
the keyboard it is easy to understand the movement and
relationship of notes on the staff.
Be motivated by learning
musical pieces early
While the student gains competence on the keyboard he is
learning pleasing music and not limited by his reading
ability.
Have a positive experience of
parent and student working together
For children and early teens the parent assists the home
practice using the Suzuki philosophy of teaching.
Have support and training for
the parent
Before beginning and ongoing afterward, the parent is given
preparation and training on how to work with their child.
