Pianist instructor, Regina Ziliani, began her piano studies at
the age of 9. She has studied with such well-respected
pedagogues as Dr. Hao Huang and Lera Borden while a student at
The Petrie School of Music at Converse College. She was a
awarded the prestigious Daniel Music Scholarship at Converse
College for piano studies and also played violin with the
Converse Chamber Orchestra and the Greater Spartanburg
Philharmonic.
Mrs. Ziliani has been teaching successfully for over fifteen
years and is the owner of The Regina Ziliani Piano Studio. Her
teaching studio is fully equipped with piano, keyboards,
computer, music education software, white boards, and other
teaching aids making it an ideal place for learning. Although
many styles of music are taught, such as sacred, jazz, blues,
pop and musical theater, classical music is the primary teaching
genre. Mrs. Ziliani offers a well-rounded curriculum of
performance, ear-training, sight-reading, theory, technique, and
music history.
Students range in age from 4 through adult, and many of her
students have received high honors for their performances in
various events such as the National Piano Guild Auditions, the
National Federation of Music Clubs Festivals. Several students
have been awarded scholarships to continue their musical studies
in college or university. Performance opportunities include
annual recitals, scholarship auditions, community events and
music festivals.
Studio Offerings
Group Lessons (Ages 4-5)
Class length: 1 Hour
A perfect introduction to piano lessons for your young
beginner. Music notation is explored through stepwise
directional reading, pattern recognition, and changing hand
positions, all in the context of engaging songs, games, and
creative exploration at the piano.
Group Lessons (Ages 6-8)
Class length: 1 Hour
The outstanding curriculum combines solid pedagogy,
exceptional music, and a fresh approach to creativity.
Students not only play great-sounding music, they'll also be
improvising, composing, and learning all at the same time.
Proper piano technique and music theory is emphasized.
Ages 9 and up. Class length:
Depending on level of advancement.
The Regina Ziliani Piano Studio has offered formal piano
instruction for the past 19 years. Former students have went
on to major in music, win scholarships, serve as pianist for
their church, and use their talents in many other ways.
Students are presented with an individualized, well-rounded
curriculum of technique, theory, ear-training,
sight-reading, music history and performance skills.
Students participate in recitals, Federation Festival and
National Piano Guild Auditions.
Professional associations include
the National Guild of Piano Teachers, the National Federation of
Music Clubs, the Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum, Delta Omicron,
and the American College of Musicians.
