Robert Mimm graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in
Lancaster, PA where he studied psychology, anthropology, and
music. He studied piano privately for four years in that city
with Earle Echternach. Mr. Echternach studied with Sigismund
Stojowski in New York, Isidor Phillipp at the Paris
Conservatory, and coached with Alexander Siloti in the United
States. Robert also studied privately with Susan Dirogi Miller
who was a Julliard graduate and student of Rosalyn Tureck.
He has taught privately for 6 years in the Pennsylvania area,
and is now a permanent resident of Wesley Chapel, Florida, a
suburb of Tampa.
Mr. Mimm offers in-home piano lessons to beginning and
intermediate students in the following Florida areas: Land O
Lakes, Lutz, New Tampa, Temple Terrace, and Wesley Chapel. Other
communities may be serviced as well.
His teaching style includes much encouragement, support, and
patience. Students are given the opportunity to make some
selections for study irrespective of the style.
Music theory and appreciation are included in every lesson.
Laughter is often shared between teacher and student. If it
isn't fun, then why do it?
Robert is also a piano technician offering piano tuning,
repairs, and rebuilding services to those same areas.
