I am an active music educator and musician whose passion is
teaching and giving students a solid foundation for enjoying
music. My goal is not necessarily to develop the concert artist,
but to help anyone reach their fullest potential on the piano
and to further their appreciation of music of many styles. I
work with both beginners to advanced students and have coached
musicians for solo work in recitals and competitions. I have a
dual background in both violin and piano. I perform
professionally and teach on both instruments.
My students come from many backgrounds and age groups, including
many adults. Each student brings specific musical goals they
wish to achieve and I work with each individual to design a
program of study specific to their needs.
My teaching style uses a wide range of books, materials and
approaches to guide a student. In addition, students have the
option to perform regularly in student recitals and may
participate in the Certificate of Merit Program (Music Teachers
Association of California) for annual adjudication.
