Ms. Dr. Phyllis Vickers, Pianist/Teacher

Dr. Vickers is an experienced teacher of all levels of students. Lessons focus on classical piano performance, with an emphasis on establishing a healthy, efficient technique, and a clear understanding of music theory. Private lessons in her Great Falls studio are supplemented with performance classes and students are offered many opportunities to participate in festivals and competitions in the Washington D.C. area.

Dr. Vickers has recently completed a Doctorate in Piano Pedogogy at Catholic University where she studied with Dr. Thomas Mastroianni. She received her Master's degree in Piano Performance at University of Maryland, studying with Santiago Rodriguez. Her Bachelor of Arts Degree is from Manhattanville College in New York.

Dr. Vickers is currently accepting private students after returning from a two year sabbatical in Boston Mass where she studied with Michael Lewin at the Boston Conservatory.
