Natalya Pitts took part as an accompanist in International
Competitions of M. Glinka and P. Tchaikovsky. She worked with
many famous Russian Opera singers, including Tamara Alioshina,
Polina Botizat, Svetlana Strezeva, and Irina Mishura. She has
performed in concerts in Russia, France, Ukraine, Moldova,
Bulgaria and United States in the cities of Kishinev, Kiev,
Minsk, Sofia, Pleven, Moscow, St. Petersburg, La Boll, Plombier,
Leon, Dijon, Paris, and others.
Ms. Pitts teaching philosophy is that the structure of piano
lessons must be tailored for the needs of the student. Every
student is assured to receive fundamental training in music
theory and performance techniques. However, those individuals,
who aspire to enter music competitions or to further their
education at a University or Conservatoire level can count on
the deep lesson structure, comprehensive in both styles and
technique, which they will need to succeed in these endeavors.
On the other hand, those individuals wishing merely to increase
their enjoyment and understanding of music without planning to
enter the music school or piano competitions will find that
their lesson plans and program selection are congruent with
their goals.
Natalya Pitts is excited to be a member of the Plano, Texas, and
National Music Teachers Associations and was the recipient of
the PMTA nomination for the Texas Outstanding Collegiate
Teaching Achievement Award for the year of 2006. She is also a
member of the College Music Society and currently teaches at
Collin County Community College.
