Mike Meehan
is an accomplished composer and pianist who
has been teaching students of all ages and
skill levels for 12 years. A Berklee College
of Music graduate with a focus in Piano
Performance and Film Scoring, Mike played
keyboards in the band Blue Judy, who has had
their music played on such TV programs as
90210, One Tree Hill, and the 2009 Oscars.
He also composed a portion of the underscore
for the CBS hit Cold Case.
Mike's main priority in his teaching is to
help the student discover the unique
qualities of their talent and cultivate
those qualities to ensure truly individual
expression and passion for music that comes
from deep within.
In addition to teaching standard classical
and jazz repertoire, Mike is happy to mentor
students in song writing, film composing,
studio production, music theory and ear
training.
