Piano Lessons at Home! Learn to the play the piano in the convenience of your own home! Midori Howell, concert pianist and master clinician, is accepting piano students of all ages. Ms. Howell, combines an enthusiastic teaching style with techniques designed to enable the student to strengthen their mental capabilities, fine motor coordination and to develop a lifelong love of music.
Midori Howell has taught children and adults of all ages. Her students have been adjudicated in numerous competitions, and have emerged with the highest honors. As the former Director of the Kids Keyboard College, (located at the Towson University in Baltimore, MD) Midori created a Music Fundamentals program geared for children 4-8, creating a fun and stimulating experience that stresses early music education for the entire family.
As a concert artist, Ms. Howell has performed throughout the United States and the south of England, and collaborated with artistic colleagues in various chamber ensembles. Ms. Howell holds a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Towson University, where she remained as Adjunct Faculty until her relocation to the New Jersey area.
Ms. Howell is presently a faculty member of the Thurnauer School of Music where she teaches private piano and class piano to young children. She is also a faculty member of the Tenafly Adult School and teaches keyboard classes.
