I am a Venezuelan born
pianist, with a Masters Degree from the
prestigious Tchaikovsky Conservatory, in
Moscow. I had played as a soloist with all
major Venezuelan Orchestras, and gave many
solo and chamber music recitals in
Venezuela, Bolivia, Estonia, Moscow, Saint
Petersburg, and Philadelphia.
I started my teaching career in Venezuela 20
years ago, at various Conservatories and
music schools in Caracas, successfully
preparing students for national piano
competitions. I then moved to the USA, to
join the staff of the Nelly Berman School of
Music.
Currently, I teach independently at my
private studio in Wayne, PA, teaching
students of all ages. My students had won
prizes and medals in competitions like
Golden Key Festival, National League of
Performing Arts, Tricounty Youth
Competition, Kenneth Square Competition, and
scholarships for the Advanced Studies
program at Settlement Music School, which
led them to perform at prestigious venues
like the Carnegie Hall in NYC, the
Performing Arts Center at West Chester
University, or the Kimmel Center, in
Philadelphia.
My approach to teaching is holistic, I
believe that from the very beginning is
important to develop not only the student's
ability to play the right keys with the
right dynamics and tempos, but also the
understanding of the character of the piece,
the different nuances of the sound and the
proper technique to obtain these nuances, in
other words, to listen careful to what they
play and immerse into the composer's world.
I also believe that performance
opportunities are very important for music
students, so I offer at least two studio
recitals every year, and I encourage my
students to perform in festivals,
competitions, and other events.
I am currently accepting new students, if
interested in a free of charge first
appointment, please call or email me.
