Hello,
I am Lusinč Shahinyan
Professional musician with over 17 years of experience
teaching children and adults. Worked with private students
of all levels as well as with Conservatory students in
achieving their degree in music.
Has performed concerts in Central and Eastern Europe
Winner of full music scholarship and statewide piano
competitions.
Graduate of the Tchaikovsky Special Music School for Gifted
Students.
Completed my Bachelor and Masters Degrees with honor at the
Komitas State Conservatory Armenia, where I studied with
Ivan Meliksetyan, a renowned performer and pedagogue in the
former Soviet Union and abroad, currently teaching and
performing in Germany.
I am Membership Secretary of Music Teachers Association of
California North Orange County branch (MTAC OCN) and member
of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
I prefer to teach with Classical music, however jazz and
contemporary music may be incorporated. I find that
personalization of lessons enhances the enjoyment of
learning, so if a student has a preferred music style or
composer, the lessons can be adjusted to include appropriate
pieces.
Students are highly encouraged to participate in various
recitals and concerts. Performing on the stage will help the
students to build self-confidence which is central issue of
personal development.
Students will be able to participate in Certificate of Merit
programs, provided by state and national music teachers
associations, covering performance, technique, ear training,
site reading and written theory for each level.
Students achievements include:
Certificate of Merit National Convention Winners.
Southwestern Youth Music Festival Winners in 7 categories.
Southern California Junior Bach Festival Complete Works
Winner.
Winners of MTAC and MTNA regional and statewide
competitions.
