The Mott Piano Studio provides a program of personal development through the study of piano. In addition to acquiring the skills needed to gain expertise at the piano, students receive a well-rounded musical education including theory, history, ensemble playing, performance, and composition.
I received my master of music in piano pedagogy from Columbus State University in 1996. I then pursued gradute studies in piano accompanying and chamber music. In the summer of 1994 I studied in Salzburg, Austria with the University of Miami School of Music.
I am a member of the Music Teachers National Association, the Georgia Music Teachers Association, and the Northeast Georgia Music Teachers Association.
In addition to teaching, I am active as the music director for a local theater, freelance pianist, classical ballet accompanist, church musician, and piano accompanist.
The most significant benefit students gain from the study of music is the special talent to touch and inspire others and express themselves through music - a gift they will treasure for a lifetime.
