The roots of
Lindeblad School of Music lie in 1st
generation Axel Lindeblad's love of music,
particularly stringed instruments. At the
young age of 25, he emigrated from Stockholm
Sweden to the United States in 1906.
Since 1920, the Lindeblad family has
specialized in the sale and restoration of
vintage pianos for clients nationwide.
Lindeblad Piano Restoration now serves
North America providing high quality pianos
and premier restoration.
In 2011, the Lindeblad family opened up
Lindeblad School of Music.
After years of consideration and planning,
the Lindeblad School of Music
was specifically constructed to teach young
and old the beauty of piano playing and
voice lessons in the most efficient manner
possible. Our sound proof walls, glass
windows that enlarge each room, highly
accredited teachers, structured music
programs, and brand new facility enables us
to provide top quality lessons.
As our school grows with more and more
students, we look forward to developing our
vision of servicing the New York City metro
area with some of the best lessons
available. We will tap into the many
benefits of music education so that other
areas of cognition be enhanced and
challenged as the student evolves into an
improved student. We strongly believe that
learning an instrument builds self-esteem,
develops initiative and a sense of
responsibility, and provides an outlet for
creativity, amongst many other character and
cognitive building elements.
