Mrs. Hoops has been teaching piano lessons since the 1970s.
She began her teaching career in Singapore before coming to
the U.S. to further her studies in 1980. Some of the
organizations she has taught at include Oakton Community
College, the Willow Creek Arts Center, the Yamaha Music
School and Suzuki Academy.
Mrs. Hoops' other musical experiences include teaching music
in the public schools, performing with travelling gospel
teams and the Palatine Children's Choir, writing for music
programs on Singapore Radio Station and conducting Church
choirs at the Chicago Chinese Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hoops is a strong believer in helping children and
adults learn in a positive environment. Therefore she
constantly adapt her lesson plans to each student as they
journey through the process of acquiring the skills to
making music at the piano.
