Lessons in Pacific Palisades with Lisa Donovan Lukas
Lisa has extensive live performing experience as a
pianist and as a pianist/vocalist and over 20 years
experience in the music entertainment industry
working in the studios (Universal Studios, Warner
Brothers, Eric Stonerook Music, Sony, Disney, Jo Ann
Kane Music Service, MCA) with music for film and
television as a music copyist/proofreader, composer,
orchestrator and songwriter. In addition, she has
performed as a singer for sessions in
film/television and radio.
Since working in the music industry, Lisa has
developed a passion for teaching piano and
specializes in teaching beginning musicians. She
very much enjoys working with each individual and is
committed to every student's unique creativity. The
more she teaches, the more she feels a connection
with life and the miracles that evolve as music
becomes a wonderful, irreplaceable part of a
person's experience. Lisa is a patient, creative
teacher. She offers individualized instruction so
that the student will progress at his or her own
pace.
Ms. Lukas has won Composer Today awards for 7 of her
piano compositions: Summer Dance, Goodnight Sweet
Dreams, Lyric for Piano, Song From The Garden,
Waiting, Rain and A Passing Cloud. Ms. Lukas's piano
music is published with Alberti Publishing. Her
piece "To Raise The Wind Horse" for piano, four
hands was performed at the Daniel Pearl World Music
Days Concert in Santa Monica, CA.
