Mrs.
Russell holds a Masters Degree in Music Education
from the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam, NY.
She was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the
International Honor Society in Education in 1989,
and is a former member of MENC - Music Educators
National Conference. Mrs. Russell has taught in

The Russell Piano Studio services students from New
London County, Connecticut, with students from
Stonington, Pawcatuck, Mystic, Groton, Ledyard,
North Stonington, Old Lyme, and Westerly, Rhode
Island.
Beginning and Intermediate students of all ages are
welcomed into the studio. An emphasis on developing
a life-long love of music and the ability to play
piano for one's own personal enjoyment is the focus
of lessons. Students are taught theory, ear
training, and music fundamentals which will enable
them to continue to develop as independent,
functional musicians.
Each student's repertoire and curriculum is based on
the student's goals, age, development, and level of
study as well as personal interests.
Students in the Russell Piano Studio also have
access to an online, interactive music education
website, Music Learning Community. Mrs. Russell
purchases a yearly studio membership for her
students, granting them unlimited access to music
theory, ear training, and rhythm games at every
level of musicianship.
Lessons are offered on a weekly basis in 30, 45, and
60 minute increments. Tuition is comparable to other
local teachers with similar experience/education.
