Joanna began studying piano at the age of five and won her first piano competition at age 15. Following graduation from ASU, Joanna continued to study privately, pursuing a special interest in the area of piano pedagogy. After several years of teaching in public and private schools, Joanna began teaching private lessons in her north Scottsdale home studio. For over 25 years she has passed on her love for music to children and adults of all ages and levels.

Joanna has great rapport with all of her students. She applies patience and encouragement to motivate young students, as well as adults, and makes learning the piano an enjoyable and enriching experience. At the appropriate level, students are encouraged to pursue supplemental music of their own selection. All children are invited to perform in our May recital.

Students are taught comprehensive piano lessons in a welcoming and friendly environment. With dedication and practice, students will progress rapidly and soon be playing the songs they love!
