Pianist Jane Cho has performed throughout the United
States, Europe and Asia. She gave numerous solo
recitals at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center,
Klavier Haus, Pforzhimer Hall, Steinway Hall, and
180 Maiden Lane Concert Series. After getting her
Bachelor's Degree at The Juilliard School,
she continued her studies at The Manhattan
School of Music where she completed her
Master's Degree in Piano Performance.
Ms. Cho won several competitions such as IBLA Grand
Prize Awards, Queens Symphony Orchestra Competition,
and Korean Daily Times Music Award. Her solo
performances with orchestras include; The Juilliard
Orchestra, Seoul Symphony Orchestra, and IBLA Sicily
Symphony.
In 2002, she gave over 60 performances in three
months throughout Manhattan in remembrance of the
September 11, rejuvenating and encouraging the
spirits of the New Yorkers through music. Later, the
part of the proceeds from the show was donated to
the victims of September 11.
As a chamber musician, Ms. Cho founded
TreMuse, a chamber group consist of piano,
violin, and cello with her colleagues from
Juilliard. TreMuse performs
extensively in New York and the East Cost. In
addition to her musicality, Ms. Cho is an active
arts advocate, often a guest speaker for performing
arts seminars.
Ms. Cho also has been actively involved with various
non-profit organizations. She was vice president of
membership at the Bryant Park Toast Masters in New
York (2004-2005), where she completed her
communication and leadership program. Currently she
serves as a board of directors at the United Young
Artist Foundation, a newly created organization that
provides comprehensive resources for artists. She
also has been a member of the Network of Music
Career Development Officers since 2001.
