Kaiser began playing piano at age
four. She studied in New York City through
the age of 17, and then attended the
University of Iowa in Iowa City, graduating
with a degree in Piano Performance and Jazz
Studies. After graduation, she taught piano
in schools and maintained a private studio.
She performed in numerous jazz ensembles
throughout the Midwest. After moving to
Arizona, she gained her Suzuki training and
certification at both the California and
Colorado Suzuki Institutes.
Ms. Kaiser has been teaching in her Tucson
studio since 1988. She is an active member
of the Tucson Music Teachers Assoc., and
maintains a studio of 25 students. Her
students participate in TMTA sponsored
musical events, as well as in three Studio
recitals annually. Her students range in age
from 4 through adult. She has prepared
students to study at the college level.
Several students have been scholarship
recipients. Possessing performance
experience in a wide range of musical
genres, Ms. Kaiser teaches classical, jazz/
improvisation, and pop music at all levels.
She emphasizes the Suzuki method of Talent
Education for beginning young students. She
has extensive experience with beginning
adults, as well as adults continuing their
musical education after hiatus from the
piano.
Over twenty-five years of teaching has given
Ms. Kaiser the ability to tailor every
lesson to the individual learning style and
interest of each student she teaches. Her
students know her for her patience,
knowledge, encouragement, enthusiasm, and
ability to impart a love for music. Her
greatest joy is knowing that her graduated
students have kept the piano and a love for
music an integral part of their lives
forever.
