Urbana, Illinois Plan music programs, direct two choirs, and deal with people in various situations. Wrote words and music for 1999 Centennial Hymn, Grace for the Centuries.
1974-Present
Owner of Keyboard Studio Experience running sole
proprietorship. Planning and problem-solving skills were developed out of
necessity. Extensive experience in performance, individual and group
instruction. Tuning and repair of musical instruments, both acoustic and
electronic. Consulting, sales, repair and programming of computers since
1983. Acquisition and sales of large number of items as needed by customers.
Honed "people skills" . Every customer is your boss.
Education
1963 Master's Degree in Music Theory and Composition from University of Illinois While completing my Master's Degree, I helped to proofread and collate the second edition of Principles of Chemistry by Lejaren A. Hiller, Jr. and Rolfe H. Herber, published by McGraw - Hill Book Company. 1961 Bachelor's Degree in Applied Piano Performance from Miami University of Ohio During my time at Miami, I was a columnist and music critic for the Miami Student. As music critic, I had the opportunity to interview celebrities of the time such as Eugene Ormandy and Harry James. I was on the staff of WMUB, Miami University Broadcasting as
continuity chief and editor of the program guide.
