About: NEW MOZART SCHOOL OF MUSIC
New Mozart School of Music is the realization of our
director's vision to provide quality music education
to students of all ages and levels. Our instructors
are experienced musicians/teachers with degrees from
prestigious music institutions around the world.
We provide private and group instructions in all
instruments. Creative lessons are designed to meet
every student's need. Integration of theory, ear
training, sight reading, and repertoire is taught
from the very beginning. Performance opportunities,
competitions, and graded exams of state, national,
and international levels are offered to qualifying
students.
New Mozart School of Music is founded and directed
by pianist Eunmi Christine Shin.
Director Bio: Ms. Eunmi Christine Shin is an
innovative pianist with over 15 years of teaching
experience before founding New Mozart School of
Music.
Ms. Shin has studied with many eminent pianists in
Europe and US. Primary teachers include: Dr. Alfred
Kanwischer (concert pianist, Beethoven specialist,
former faculty of University of Boston and San Jose
State University) Dr. Jonathan Bass (concert
pianist, first prize winner of Joanna Hodges
International Competition, Faculty of New England
Conservatory and Boston conservatory), the late
Marina Grin (concert pianist former faculty of
Moscow Conservatory & San Francisco Conservatory).
In Europe, Ms. Shin studied with Martyn Van den Hoek(first
prize winner of Liszt competition, professor at
Vienna Conservatory), Marjes Benoist(professor at
Amsterdam Conservatory), Volker Banfield(professor
at Hamburg Hochschule fur Musik), Grigory Gruzman(professor
at Hamburg Hochshule fur Musik). Ms. Shin has also
worked with renowned pianists Theodore Lettvin and
Vladimir Viardo in master classes.
Ms Shin received BM from San Jose State University
and Orff certification from Mozarteum, Salzburg
Austria. She has also done additional study in piano
pedagogy at the Eastman School of Music.
Ms. Shin has performed in San Francisco Bay area and
in Austria.
