I believe my greatest gift is in connecting with
young people and adults and working to find the
method and connection that works for each individual
in their own learning. There are many musical
performers, but few have the gift to motivate a
student to learn for the joy of learning.
I began my musical career at age 7 and continued
with lessons for 13 years. I graduated with a BA
degree in Music and Education from Concordia
College, Moorhead Minnesota.
During his 35 years of experience I founded two
international music organizations that have
performed in over 50 countries in addition to
private teaching in both voice and piano. Countless
of my students have gone on to pursue their own
careers in music, both as performers and as
teachers. My greatest joy is seeing students surpass
their instructor eventually in their proficiency.
This has become a family endeavor, and today I teach
with my wife, Gloria, past State President of the
Minnesota Federation of Music Clubs and Director of
International Music for the National Federation of
Music Clubs. Gloria carries a Bachelor or Music
Degree from Concordia as well. Today my youngest
son, Daniel, a graduate of Greenville College,
Greenville, IL (majors in music and business) has
also joined us.
I am experienced with children, teens, and adults;
beginning through advanced students. All lessons are
tailored to meet individual student needs. I also
work with students who "play by ear". Between
myself, Gloria, and Daniel we teach in several
locations throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.
I am equally skilled in piano and vocal coaching. I
look forward to working with you. Please contact me
