About the Teacher
Described with enthusiastic reviews and comments such as "a musical ambassador of Greece", "a true musician", "a first-class European soloist", Dino Mastroyiannis holds nowadays a prestigious position among the most distinguished contemporary Greek pianists. He has appeared as soloist in Greece, Slovak Republic, Poland, Romania, Italy, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Macedonia with leading professional orchestras like the Slovak State Philharmonic (Slovakia), the Poznan Philharmonic (Poland), the Iasi State Philharmonic (Romania), the Macedonian Philharmonic (Macedonia), the Kiev Camerata (Ukraine), the Plovdiv Philharmonic (Bulgaria) and more. He had performed a vast repertoire in such prestigious concert halls like "Rudolfinum" in Prague and "Ateneul Roman" in Bucharest, as well as at historical places like the "Villa Bertramka" (the world-famous Mozart Museum in Prague).
He is regarded as one of the leading interpreters of the Greek music; recently he has performed with great success as soloist with the Poznan Philharmonic in Poland the Piano Concerto of Mikis Theodorakis, the most famous Greek living composer internationally.

Many performances to the frames of International Festivals, recently in "Kiev Summer Music Evenings, in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz". and Ameropa in Prague.
A graduate of Athens Conservatory (Aliki Vatikioti's class) with the highest honors, he has been studied later with the famous Bulgarian couple Konstantin & Julia Ganevi (students of Heinrich Neuhaus), and especially with one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century, the Brazilian Roberto Szidon. Numerous master-classes at the "Mozarteum" University Salzburg (Austria), Hanover Music Academy (Germany) and Sion Music Academy (Switzerland).

Regarded for his rich and many-sided technique, artistic temperament, perfect feeling of the rhythm and rare expressiveness Dino Mastroyiannis is also one of the most gifted! Greek chamber-musicians and an exceptional partner for singers, accompanying Lieder recitals. His most recent chamber-music collaborations were in Bratislava and in Prague with the international-famous String Quartets Moyzes and Kocian respectively.

He has a very large teaching experience and has participated as member of jury in several Piano Competitions. His pupils have won many first and second prizes in Piano Competitions in Greece and abroad. Some of these pupils, after graduating from his class at Volos’ Conservatory with Diplomas and distinctions were directly accepted to continue their studies on scholarships at international famous schools, like the “the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy” of Budapest, the San Francisco Conservatory, the Glenn Gould Professional School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto etc. 

Roberto Szidon had described Mr. Mastroyiannis as "one of the eminent Greek pianists" and Paul Badura-Skoda had written that "his technical and musical abilities are up to an international level".
Dino Mastroyiannis is t! he Artistic Director of the Volos International Music Festival, one of the greatest classical music events in Greece.
