I
first began teaching 36 years ago, and then took a
hiatus to seek a business career with various
Canadian Financial Institutions and raise my family.
I have sine left the Financial World and resumed
teaching piano in 2003.
I attended University of Guelph and the University
of Waterloo Lutheran. I was a music Major at Guelph
and attended Bachelor of Music Program at Waterloo
Lutheran. I have completed my ACTM with the Royal
Conservatory of Music. I am currently scheduled to
complete my ARCT Performer Exam in February 2008.
I have played in various venues including the Barrie
Central Collegiate Symphony Orchestra, the Barrie
Gryphon Theatre, various gigs in restaurants, halls,
Accompanist with Theatre Ancaster, and played with a
Trio consisting of Violinist, Cellist & Piano...
My piano studio (Dan Corrigall Piano Studio) is
located in Ancaster Ontario. Beginner piano
students
of all ages are especially welcome.
Children will find a friendly and relaxed atmosphere
that puts the new student at his or her ease.
Mature students can finally achieve the joy
of making music on their own, learning to master the
piano in a congenial, at your pace learning venue.
Theory lessons are available for those wishing to
pursue the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum.
Costs depend on the Student’s expertise and also,
the duration of the lesson. Please call or email, me
to discuss these issues further and to settle on a
reasonable monthly fee. I am always available,
between lessons, to answer questions a student may
have regarding his/her musical education.
The student will have two pianos to learn the fine
art of piano playing. A Busendorfer 6 foot Grand
Piano and a Yamaha Clavinova piano.
