About the Teacher

Dave Frank is an Associate Professor at
Berklee College of Music in Boston, a co-founder of the New
York School of Jazz, and the author of the popular Hal Leonard
book series, JOY OF IMPROV. He has been traveling as an
ambassador of jazz for the US Govt. since 1994 and to date has
presented solo concerts and master classes in Spain, South
Africa, Nicaragua,Costa Rica, Argentina, Brazil, England,
Holland, Belgium, and across the States and Canada. He is
regularly featured on the BET on Jazz TV show JAZZ SCENE.
In the fall of 2004, Dave left the Boston area to direct the
DAVE FRANK SCHOOL OF JAZZ in Manhattan. Dave now teaches
privately in the midtown Manhattan area, and accepts students of
all levels who want to develop their basic rock/blues/jazz
keyboard skills, and go beyond the basics to discover the
infinite flow of music that is their musical potential...
