About the Teacher
|
I graduated from Wagner College, Staten Island, NY in 1975 with a BA
in Music
Education. I've been teaching piano, keyboard and organ for 28 years and
began teaching general music and drama to K-8 students in local private
schools 12 years ago. I am currently employed at Country Day Montessori
School in Largo and for the past 5 years there have built a music
curriculum for preprimary through 8th grades. I am also the drama
director there for 5th through 8th grades. During the past 4 summers
there I've directed plays which were performed as part of the camp
curriculum. I am a member of the Music Educators National Conference and
attend their Conference Clinic in Tampa every year to acquire new and
exciting teaching techniques.
Piano and Keyboard instruction is given there every day
after school, in my
studio.Students from Country Day and other area schools take weekly half
hour
private lessons. Students are selected each month to participate in a
recital. Students are also eligible to participate in Florida Orchestra
Student Piano Competition I teach all styles, levels and ages from 4 years
