Bob van der Boom is an award winning pianist/composer/bandleader and
musical producer. Having earned Master Degrees in both classical piano
and jazz-piano and a Ph.D. in Composition and orchestration at the Royal
Dutch Conservatory and Film-scoring at the Manhattan School of Music;
his career has always covered many different aspects of music: From
Classical Piano concerts (Chopin competition in Rome and numerous
recitals, recordings and concerts) and orchestrations to famous
Jazz-festivals (North-Sea Jazz Festival/ JVC-Festival) as pianist and
bandleader. From compositions for large film-scores to 30 second
radio/TV commercials. Born and raised in the Netherlands his piano
playing and musical compositions & productions have been heard
all over Europe, the Far-East and the United States.
He has taught piano/harmony, theory and improvisation at the Royal
Dutch Conservatory and other professional music-schools and
institutions. He equally loves to teach children as adults and beginners
as well as professionals.

sense of harmony, improvisational skill, composition and/or songwriting.
