Ms.
Akiko Kasai is an accomplished and dedicated piano teacher.
She began her piano studies at the age of 5 and has been
playing for over 35 years. She has an extensive teaching
experience for the last 16 years. She has taught students of
various ages and levels, ranging from 4 to 71, beginners to
the advanced levels.
Ms. Kasai has earned a Master of Music degree in Piano
Performance and Pedagogy from Northern Illinois University.
She also holds a B.S. degree in Applied Psychology. She has
an excellent interpersonal skills.
Ms. Kasai tailors lesson plans to meet each student's needs.
She focuses on teaching well rounded musicianship including
proper music reading (from very beginning level) and
performance, ear training, theory, ensemble and sight
reading. She organizes 2 formal recitals per year. She is a
member of Music Teachers' National Association, Illinois
State Music Teachers' Association, and Naperville Area Music
Teachers' Association.
Ms. Kasai requires prospective students and parents to come
for interviews before signing up for the lessons. Please
